Lockdown Birthday Ideas

All of my best friends birthdays have been during lockdown, and so Ive tried to make the best of the situation. So today I thought id share my lockdown birthday ideas with you, in case anyone else is in the same situation!

Realistically we don’t know how long we will be in lockdown, or unable to go round our besties house, so over the course of the past few months Ive been gathering different ideas to entertain ourselves. These ideas can be used for birthdays, dates, or just fun things to do with your friends!

Distanced Picnic

For my boyfriends birthday we had a socially distanced picnic! He came into my back garden, and I ordered a takeaway pizza for us. We chatted, played quiz games, and ate good food. All the things picnics are renowned for!

Online Photoshoot

For my best friends birthday we did an online photoshoot, as thats always been our thing! For this we both chose a date and time that would work best for the both of us, and planned a theme for our photoshoots. We both then FaceTimed each other on the set date, and did our makeup, hair, and outfit together. We both then set up our own photoshoots in our bedroom or garden, and chatted together while taking self-timer photographs! The photographs both turned out super cute, and I even made a Tiktok to document the occasion.

Netflix Party

I haven’t personally used Netflix Party, but I know plenty of people that have and rave about it! Its perfect for a group of friends to watch the same movie together, at the same time, whilst being on FaceTime. Simply grab yourselves popcorn, snacks, and a drink, and get watching your chosen movie!
