DIY Valentine Cards | AD

*This DIY Valentine cards post is sponsored by Design Bundles. All opinions and ideas are my own.

With Valentines day right around the corner it’s about time I started making some cards for my loved ones, and finding a present for the boyfriend. Now that I have a shop too, I absolutely love creating prints and cards for sale, so I am pleased to say that todays post is sponsored by Design Bundles. Being a photography student and small business, it makes me very excited to be trying out Design Bundles new Valentines templates (as this sort of thing is right up my street)! Which is why today I am going to be making some DIY Valentine Cards.

I have made three different cards that are super easy for beginners, and I’ll give you all an easy step by step guide incase you want to recreate the cards! Without any further ado, let’s get into the first card I made.

You’re My Love

The first card I made is super easy to recreate! I just used their template, and put the photograph into photoshop (although you don’t need to have photoshop!). I then used the hue and saturation adjustment to change the colour of the hearts and writing, and that was it!

You don’t even need to change anything if you already love the template how it is, because Design Bundles has made Card Making so incredibly easy. You simply print the design off onto card paper at home, and you’re done!

You Are All I Need

The second card is a little harder than the first, but still super easy for you to recreate. It would definitely be easier to have photoshop for this card, but you may be able to create something similar with different software. First I simply put the photograph template into photoshop, and changed the colour hues like I did with the first one.

Next I removed the text by simply painting over the writing ‘All We Need Is Love’ with a white paint. I then added some new text and typed in the words “You are all I need“. I wanted the colour of the text to match the heart so I used the colour dropper to select a dark shade of pink for the text, and Voila! That is how easy it was to make this card!

Be Mine?

My final card was more personalised and a bit more difficult (for beginners) if you are up for the challenge! To start off with I chose a pattern from their selection of svgs (scaleable vector graphics), and added it to a blank A4 photoshop document. I then scaled the image to fit the page as I wanted my pattern to cover the front of the card.

I wanted to add text to the middle of the page, so I used the white paint tool again to erase a heart and triangle from the centre of the page. Then I added some text, I chose “Be Mine?”, because I thought it would make for a really cute card! That is it!

I printed all of my DIY Valentine cards at home using card paper, making this DIY super easy for anyone to make at home!! So which card is your favourite??

I don’t bother with Valentines but I’ll celebrate Palentines by giving a packet of Love Hearts to each of my friends!
