How To Keep Busy During Lockdown

Before Lockdown occurred I had to self isolate, so I have now been confined to the walls of my house for over a month. I always prefer to stay busy, so I thought Id help you all out on how to keep busy during lockdown! My previous post How To keep Busy During Self Isolation, was very popular, so I thought Id do another post similar!

I don’t know about you, but if Im not doing anything my mind wanders, and I always end up in a state of bad mental health. I don’t want other people to struggle more than they already are, so that’s why I’m writing this post!

Give Yourself a New Project

I am a very creative person as you all know, so I love giving myself new projects to work on! I have been embroidering all my old and thrifted clothes, and selling them on my shop. I am amazed at the support I have had from this, and its given me the boost of serotonin I needed!

You can make the projects personalised to you tho! Maybe you want to start a blog? A YouTube channel? Write a book? There are honestly so many different projects you can set yourself, and Im excited to see what you all come up with!

Learn Something New

Now is the perfect time to learn something new because you suddenly have this abundance of time, and nothing to fill it with (till now!). Personally I have been learning to do more digital design work, and Ive even opened up a digital design services section on my shop! I have loved learning something new, and you should too!

I can be anything you set your mind to. My best friend Emily is learning Slovakian, so go ahead and set yourself the challenge!

Bake/Cook

Its difficult getting out to the shops at the moment, and you risk putting yourself and others at risk. However if you’re like me, you also need a daily sugar kick! Im planning on getting my baking hat back on and making some goodies to share with my household! If you can bake and cook during this time, it would help a lot of people out who maybe can’t and need ready made food. Its also a lot healthier for you (unless you’re making chocolate cake like me).

Facetime/Houseparty Your Friends

Since we cant leave the house, and for those who don’t live with their friends or partner, FaceTiming can be a saviour! I have been FaceTiming my best friend several times a week (she lives in Canada so I cant see her anyway!), and it has been so lovely!! It provides you with that social necessity many of us need!

This post is so great! I’ve already ticked off this list, and I hope to continue through isolation in the same manner. Blogging has kept me incredibly busy with the launch of The Positivity Project and thankfully the hard work is paying off. I love the designs on your shop, they’re really cute! I might consider buying a cute print, though I can’t make promises. The one with the fish is my favourite (but they all so stunning).
Hope you have a happy Tuesday,
    Erin x

Some great ideas! I’m going to use this time to get back into the swing of blogging and I’ve started learning a new language 🙂 Great to hear that you’re working on new projects – you’re super talented 🙂
