Benefit; Get The Pretty Started Review

I have always loved the brand Benefit. In fact I got my first foundation from there, it was called The Big Easy, and my mum bought it as a gift. Their Roller Lash mascara is my holy grail, and I have bought numerous bottles of the mascara since.

Also now that I am back in the UK I have been getting my eyebrows waxed and tinted at Benefit, and I have been absolutely loving it! They always look amazing, and I always have the same girl do them because I just trust her so much. While I was getting my eyebrows waxed and tinted a few days ago, my mum snuck off and bought this little palette for me, she is such a sweetheart! So I thought I would review the palette today.

This little palette is perfect for travel, and just slipping into a little handbag. It contains the Hoola bronzer, Galifornia blush, and the Watts Up! highlight. I have now been using this palette for several days, so I have had a good feel for the palette and am ready to share my honest opinions!

I will start off by talking about the Hoola bronzer, which by the way I have wanted to try out for donkeys years! This bronzer definitely lived up to its expectations. I have been using the Colourpop bronzer which I was loving, however, since using this one, I realise that the Colourpop bronzer actually highlighted scars I have on my cheeks. Meanwhile the Hoola bronzer sits perfectly on my foundation, keeping a beautiful clear base.

I would 100% purchase the full size Hoola bronzer, because I am seriously obsessed with it now! It is definitely worth all the hype and is by far the best bronzer I have tried! Im curious to know if you’ve tried this bronzer, and what your thoughts were?

Next in this palette is the Galifornia blush. Personally I have never heard of this blush before so I was excited to try out this new one! At first view it appears really bright in the palette, and it is beautifully pigmented. It creates summery glowing cheeks, which just looks so fresh and youthful.

This is a perfect summer blush, however although I love it, I don’t know whether I would buy a full size or not. I have a few other blushers that I am obsessed with too, so it would be a battle to choose the best one!

Lastly is the Watts Up! highlighter. I have actually tried quite a few highlights, and some have been absolutely amazing, so this was up for competition. This highlight is actually quite a solid texture, making it really difficult to use a brush for application. I generally end up using my finger to apply this one.

As far as highlight goes, this one is a lot subtler. This highlight is a warmer tone which I love, rather than a white highlight giving a cooler tone throughout your makeup. Personally I wouldn’t purchase this full-size only because I have used far better highlighters than this one, not to say that this one isn’t still beautiful!

I am a die hard drug store beauty babe, and I think most high end brands are completely overpriced and though in some cases the quality is reflected… alot of the time I still can’t justify the prices. However, all that said, I don’t think I could use another bronzer, I have the Hoola Mini and I intend on buying it full size when I run out! It is my holy grail bronzer, and I don’t think anything will go about beating it!

    Love the post angel! Xoxo
