You’ve spotted a beautiful hand embroidered hoop (or maybe a few!) and fallen in love—but now you’re wondering… what do I do with it?
Embroidered decor hoops are such a lovely way to add texture, colour, and charm to your home, but I totally get that styling them can feel a bit tricky. Here are some of my favourite ways to use and display them—plus a peek at how I’ve styled some of my own.
Create a Gallery Wall
One of the easiest and most effective ways to display hoops is by creating a little gallery wall. I’ve done this in my own space using a mix of my favourite designs—and it brings so much personality to the room! Whether you go for a neat grid or a more organic, scattered arrangement, they look fab grouped together.
Top tip: Mix sizes and colours for a more dynamic feel, or stick to a theme (like florals, food, or nature) for a more curated look.

Mix Them with Framed Art or Photos
Embroidered hoops don’t have to live in their own little corner. Try mixing them with prints, framed photos, or postcards to add texture and interest to a gallery wall. The contrast of stitched work with smooth paper or photography can really make a space pop.

Prop Them on Shelves or Mantels
If you don’t want to hang them up, no problem! Decor hoops look lovely propped up on shelves, bookcases, or mantels. Style them alongside plants, candles, or books to create a cosy, layered look. They’re also great for seasonal decor—think florals for spring, or something festive for Christmas.

Add Them to a Nursery or Kids’ Room
Cute embroidered designs make sweet, soft decor for little ones’ spaces. A mini hoop with a name, animal, or floral design can be hung on the wall, the door, or even above the cot (well out of reach, of course!).

Use Them as Thoughtful Gifts
Hand embroidered hoops make lovely gifts for birthdays, housewarmings, weddings or baby showers—especially if they’re personalised. I can stitch names, initials, dates, or anything else that makes it special. Once gifted, they’re ready to display right away—no framing or fuss needed.
Want Your Own?
All the hoops you see in my shop are hand stitched by me, and I also take custom orders if you have something specific in mind—colours, wording, themes, you name it.
Decor hoops are more than just wall art—they’re a way to bring something handmade, meaningful, and a little bit magical into your space. Whether you hang one or build a whole gallery, there’s no wrong way to display them—just find what brings you joy.
Got a blank wall calling out for something special? I’d love to stitch something for you!
