Bournemouth At Christmas

My mother and I have made it a yearly tradition to have a weekend away in Bournemouth every December to visit the Christmas markets and escape the rest of the world (read my bucket list here). This year we went December 13th till 15th, and it was the most magical getaway ever.

Leading up to our trip I had been super stressed with Uni, work, and everything else going on, and I really needed a break. We always stay at the village Hotel as its our favourite place, so on the Friday we went and checked in before heading into town.

We went straight to the Christmas market; I had Churros and my mum had Loaded Fries! We also got a cinnamon hot chocolate to share as we walked through the Christmas Tree Wonderland, which was beautiful. I will never get over how beautiful Bournemouth is at Christmas.

We then ended up at the pier where the Ferris wheel is. There was no queue, so we bought tickets and hopped straight onto the Ferris wheel! The views were beautiful at nighttime, all the lights, and the sea, it was just beautiful.

Next we headed to the arcade and spent some time on the penny slot machines! We have both always loved these, and for once I actually managed to win a few prizes; jelly beans, love heart sweets, and an eraser (I’m such a child)!

We then headed back to the hotel where we watched movies, ate chocolate, and had face masks.

The following morning we had a reservation for Cat Yoga at Pause Cat Cafe which was just the most amazing experience. I adore cats, and this place was like heaven. They have such a lovely ethic, and their smoothies were to die for!

We spent the rest of the day at the cinema (we saw Knives Out!), and walking around the Christmas markets again. We went back to the hotel in the evening, and had a late night swim in the pool! Room service was ordered, Christmas movies were played, and we had the most lovely time!
