Handmade embroidery with love, colour, and character

Hi, I’m Zoë — I hand embroider every piece you see here, turning simple clothes into something fun, unique, and made just for you.

I create hand embroidered clothing and home decor that’s colourful, playful, and full of personality. Every piece is stitched by me in Hampshire, UK — whether it’s a reworked t-shirt, a custom jacket, or a hoop for your wall.

But this all started in a way I never expected…

How it began

Before I opened my shop, I ran a beauty and lifestyle blog. One day, a brand sent me an embroidery kit to try out. I’d always loved embroidered clothing (but couldn’t afford the dreamy pieces I saw online), so I tested the kit right away and used what I learnt to embroider a few of my own clothes.

I shared the results in a blog post — and was completely overwhelmed by the response. My inbox filled with people asking where they could buy the pieces, so I started taking custom orders. From there, it snowballed into what is now Zoë Ware (such an original name, I know).

I officially launched the shop in March 2020, and I’ve been stitching ever since.

What inspires me

My designs are inspired by all sorts of things — nature, Pinterest, colour palettes, even dreams. Sometimes I carefully sketch out a piece before I begin, and other times I’ll grab a t-shirt, sketch straight onto the fabric, and let the design come to life as I go.

Embroidering is now one of my favourite things to do. You’ll often find me stitching in the garden or in front of the TV — it’s the one creative outlet that makes me feel both calm and productive at once.

A brand that makes room for your style

At Zoë Ware, I aim to offer more variety than trend-driven brands. Fashion moves fast — and sometimes the styles you love just disappear overnight. I believe personal style is timeless, and your wardrobe should reflect that.

Whether you love florals, mushrooms, stars or bees, you’ll find something that feels like you. And if not? I’ll make it for you.

Custom embroidery, made just for you

Everything I make is hand embroidered and made to order — which means custom pieces are always possible.

You can:

  • Request a personalised version of an existing design
  • Send me your idea for something completely new
  • Even post me your own clothing to be embroidered

Slow fashion, stitched with intention

A lot of my clothing pieces are sourced secondhand or thrifted. Why? Because we already have so much clothing in the world — and most of it is still in great condition.

I believe in giving clothes a second life and slowing down the pace of fashion. That’s why everything I make is one-of-a-kind, low-waste, and made to last. It’s better for the planet, and better for your wardrobe too.

One woman, all the stitches

Zoë Ware is a one-woman business — I design, stitch, model, photograph, market and pack everything myself. You’re not just supporting handmade — you’re supporting someone’s passion, process, and purpose.
